Frequently Asked Questions
Our Lenses
Can I switch to daysoft® daily disposable contact lenses?
Yes you can switch! daysoft® daily disposable contact lenses are made for single vision and have a spherical design.
Choose between two options:
daysoft® SILK - which incorporates hyaluronan within the matrix of the lens and saline to give cushioning at insertion. Moisture is released over the wearing period, improving comfort throughout the day.
daysoft® CLASSIC - which uses a simple saline solution and is particularly suited to those with sensitive eyes or allergies.
Do I need a valid Contact Lens Prescription?
Yes, a specific Contact Lens Prescription/Specification is required for the supply of contact lenses. It gives essential details regarding the lenses and confirms your suitability to wear contact lenses. It also lets you know when your follow-up examination is due.
Can I buy lenses to change my eye color?
Lenses which change the appearance or color of the eye are not made by daysoft®. Our contact lenses do have a very pale tint to assist handling, but this is not visible on the eye.
I currently wear monthly lenses - can I wear daysoft® lenses?
If your current monthly lenses are prescribed for daily wear, check our brand list during the order process and select your current brand. If your brand does not appear please contact us so that we can advise you.
I use my current lenses for continuous wear over several days - can I do this with daysoft® lenses?
daysoft® lenses are for single use daily wear only. They should not be used for sleeping and should be disposed of after one use. Daily disposable contact lenses are proven to be the safest and healthiest way to wear contact lenses. The eye health and vision benefits are greater than with lenses used for continuous wear.
Which power ranges do you offer?
daysoft® lenses are offered in a wide range of powers from -25.00 to +8.00.
Do your lenses have UV filters?
daysoft® contact lenses incorporate a UV filter. However, areas not covered by the lens, such as the conjunctiva (over the white of the eye), eyelids and other eye tissue, are also sensitive to UV. With that in mind, we recommend that you wear UV-protection sunglasses over your contact lenses at times of high UV exposure or whenever you would normally wear sunglasses.
Where are your lenses made?
daysoft® daily-disposable contact lenses are produced in the UK in the most technologically advanced contact lens laboratory in the world. We only make daily disposables because wearing fresh, sterile lenses everyday is the healthiest and most convenient way to wear lenses.

This information is printed on the foil of our lenses and more details on the specification can be found on our website in the our lenses page.

Our Environmental Credentials / Creating a greener world
What is INPAC® Technology?
daysoft®’s innovative INPAC® Technology now means we use up to 63% less plastic packaging per lens compared to other contact lens producers because the lens is formed entirely in the pack. Imperfections are avoided and hygiene is improved because the lens is never handled. The small cavity which can be felt at the bottom of the INPAC® ‘blister’ is where the dry lens was formed before absorbing 58% weight in saline and expanding by a similar amount, becoming a high-precision super-soft daysoft® lens.
Can I recycle my order?
Our plastic blisters are identified as Class 5, PP – polypropylene. Changes in our manufacturing process with INPAC® Technology mean that there is no feasible means for us to incorporate the chasing arrows recycling symbol on the blister. Polypropylene is recyclable but it is best to check whether your local facility accepts it in their recycling stream. The cardboard and foil are also recyclable. While there are no biodegradable contact lenses on the market, the lenses contain a large percentage of water (58% for daysoft® lenses) and this will recycle naturally. The environmental impact of the remaining contact lens is therefore very small.
Your contact lens prescription
I wear contact lenses but my Optician has not issued a Contact Lens Prescription.
Your Optician should provide your Contact Lens Prescription at the completion of Fitting and Contact Lens Aftercare examinations. Just ask for a copy if it is not given to you.
I think my Contact Lens Prescription may have changed - can I order different lens powers?
We recommend that before ordering lenses, you consult your optician if you have any concern about your eyes or if you think your Contact lens Prescription has changed.
My prescription has changed - can I return the lenses I have not used and change them for the new prescription?
Please contact our Customer Care team quoting your Order Number to allow us to assist.
Can daysoft® give me a prescription?
daysoft® do not provide prescriptions. Your optician will assess your suitability for contact lens wear and provide a valid prescription where appropriate. Regular Contact Lens Aftercare examinations will check that your eyes remain healthy and that you are getting the best from your contact lenses as well as keep your Contact Lens Prescription up-to-date.
My prescription is for toric lenses - can I use daysoft® lenses ?
daysoft® lenses have a spherical design. A Toric version is not currently available so if you have been prescribed Toric design contact lenses we will not be able to supply replacement lenses.
I require lenses to correct an astigmatism - can I use daysoft® lenses?
daysoft® lenses have a spherical design. A Toric version to correct astigmatism is not currently available so if you have been prescribed Toric design contact lenses we will not be able to supply replacement lenses.
My prescription is for multi-focal lenses - can I use daysoft® lenses ?
